Finally, a day off!

Today is the first day off I have had in 10 days. I am getting a haircut today, and attempting to find a car wash for my poor car. I am also trying to convince Josh to go to the outlet mall with me :)

My Scentsy show last weekend was a lot of fun and I got some contacts out of it, and sold most of my product. Regina did most of the set up, and between the 3 of us, we had a pretty nice display of our product!


Josh has a 4 day weekend this weekend, but I work every day except today (that's usually how it works, haha).

Diesel is the same as ever, he enjoys sitting on the back of the couch and looking out the window, and taking many naps during the day on the bed or wrapped up in our blanket-curtains in the living room :)

The UTEP game we went to was a little disappointing, and we left at halftime, but the school band was pretty decent to watch.

Rain in El Paso

Well, it has been over a month since my last post.... I have been working around 6 days a week along with trying to get my new Scentsy business up and running. It has been pretty hectic around here. We have gotten a ton of rain in the past few days and some of the roads are starting to flood. It is also really humid, which mixed with the heat makes for miserable days outside.

Josh just got tickets to go to a UTEP game on Saturday night so that should be fun. Next Saturday I am working a craft show with 3 other ladies showcasing the Scentsy products--I am really excited for that!

Life

Josh and I finally got everything unpacked and pretty much put where we want it. Diesel has settled in and enjoys looking out the window (even though, according to neighborhood rules, we are supposed to keep all of the blinds down... I leave the living room one halfway up). I enjoy the sunlight that comes through the window too. Josh and I have spent a lot of money at the Walmart across the street, and we also went to the Cielo Vista mall last weekend. I found an Albertson's grocery store that I like better than Walmart so I have started to shop there for groceries. The Albertson's is located across the street from the Walgreens I now work at.
Today is my second day of work, I am hoping it goes a little better than yesterday--my first day. I was lucky to get 5 days a week though, it just sort of landed in my lap. I am looking for another job though, because this store just doesn't have the appeal that my last store did. I miss my co-workers A LOT, so I think that may be keeping me from fully enjoying my job anymore.

Our apartment has turned out pretty nice, aside from the broken laundry room door and the fact that the sink does not have a sprayer... grr. Here are some pictures of what it looks like now, for the most part

We Have Arrived

Josh, Diesel, and I arrived in El Paso around 1pm on Wednesday. Diesel was pretty traumatized from the ride down, so he has spent most of his time at the apartment under the bed. I was getting worried about him since he did not use his litter box at all on Wednesday or Thursday. Finally this morning he used his box, so now I can relax! Josh and I are waiting on our Relo-Cube--which should be here before 7 this evening. We got our internet hooked up this morning so Josh has spent a lot of the day playing WOW and I have been catching up on Facebook and looking at the wedding pictures that Paul has uploaded to his site :)

Since arriving, we have learned that there were a few things put in the Cube that perhaps should have come with us in the car--like bath towels. Whoops!

Anyway, the drive down was pretty smooth, minus being worried about Diesel all the time. Here are a few pictures I took along the way (mostly New Mexico, oddly enough)

Packing, packing, packing

Well, most of the stuff is in the ReloCube. It is 3 days before the wedding.... I am stressed out and crabby. Finally took a nap today, which helped a little. Christy, Jim and Austin are coming tomorrow-- It will be nice to see them for a little bit and have them meet Josh.
I bought Diesel a new "house" for the drive down to El Paso. He has no clue what it really is, and actually enjoys going in it and playing with toys... keep your fingers crossed that he still likes it when he has to go in the car!My plan is to update from the road as we make our way down, and then post pictures and update on the different things Josh and I do around El Paso.
